Looking good mate. In my defence, I checked the frame over thoroughly before sending it to you and I never spotted the crack! I even specifically checked the dropouts as that's where they normally go! I did let her go fairly cheapish so hopefully you don't feel hard done by! Glad you get her...
Glad you got the cage nut out, it drove me mad rattling around! I had it built up with some Onza rigid segmented forks and it was a lovely ride. Nice work on the dent as well!
Thanks. I originally checked out the early 90s catalogues in the archive which is why I was confused. Your second post confirms it - they're the same as that 'white '92 Blizzard. Thanks again!
Thanks, @FluffyChicken . I'd suspected the '92 Blizzard due to the colour but I couldn't tell from the catalogue if they were segmented or not.
Love the knowledge on this site!
Any idea what RM these forks are from? They're really light, segmented forks with Tange Struts and dropouts. I've been through the catalogue archive but some of the pics on the 1992 catalogues are a bit grainy so can't make out (they came with a 92 frame). They don't seem to come up often so...
I've got a Killer V Frame only in the shed which I've never got round to building up. 19.5" in OK-ish condition - bottle boss is loose and in the frame, dent in seat stay (see pic) but no cracks. I think I've removed the BB since the pic. Needs a good polish, something you'd be interested in?
Good score...
I repeat what others have said - def check for headtube cracks - I've got one of these frames in the cave with multiple cracks in the headtube which has been sat there for 2 years while I decide how to fix her. Lovely frames, though.
I bought a Kili frameset from The History Man - great comms, frameset was as described and arrived well packaged without issue - nothing more to say - great trader.
