It should be 8 speed. It was on an 8 speed bike, that was stock from 96. Date stamp is T so that puts the manufacture at 1995 the year before. Literally just took it off the bike so haven’t cleaned it up yet but from the riding I did on it with the new chain - no problems at all.

No I don’t think so. Lots of people still have success. Bikes are very niche though. Shorts do seem a good way to build a following at the moment though. You’ve just got to work out what it takes to be viral if you want that 😅

Back up - I did buy a nice condition "Strong" off eBay but the seller has blanked me and hasn't sent it so... A "Strong" or "Sakae MT" would be ideal - Aluminium preferably - Very little fading and no big scratches
