Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

The visible part of it is 85820137 or possibly 35820137 because I don't know if the first number is an 8 or a 3. There might be some additional letters or numbers in the beginning, but it's impossible to see because there's a big blob of black paint there.

    1990 Fuji Tahoe restomod

Here's my Fuji Tahoe I finished a few days ago. It's 1x converted by stripping away parts from the existing drivetrain. Other than it's got new tyres, new grips, new cables and housing and a new seat. If you want to see more pictures of this, or some of my other builds, please visit...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Oh, I see you are the owner of the bike I referenced. That's some great info there. What's your assessment of the frame of my bike? I'm 99% sure it must be the same frame as yours, allthough strangely the colour and serial numbers do not match. My bike could have been repainted, of course, but...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Yeah, I'm suspecting something like that too. I believe Raleigh USA had their own facility in Seattle, I read something like that somewhere. The various markings on the bottom bracket have a similar layout(as can be seen in the other thread I linked to), but the actual serial number on mine is...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Mystery partially solved! The frame is identical to that of a Raleigh USA MT700 John Tamac Design Series. Look at the pictures below. Every key identifying detail is there: -The special rear brake stop -The wishbone seat stay -The seam on the top tube and down tube where the rear steel triangle...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Here's an image of the handlebars. There's a logo which I don't recognize, could this be a clue for the brand of the frame?

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Yeah, or 50 Swedish krona, which is around £4 to be exact. But it looked like sh** in the ad and the seller obviously did not know what they had. Apparently someone had left it outside their house and they took it to the police but no one claimed so they got it back after a while. Below is the...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

I'm not sure I'm following, you think it might be a Ross based on the serial? But yeah, it looks like it's a -92.

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Yeah, I found out that Orange serial number always starts with a letter so that seems to rule out this is an Orange. I'm located in Sweden which also makes it more probable that it's something other than a UK brand. However, I haven't seen those kinds of rear brake cable stops on other brands...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

There are two joints like that, the other one is where the top tube meets the seat tube. This suggests the front half of the bike would be a different material (aluminium?) to the rear half. The look of the welds are different too. They are thick/wide by the head tube and normal looking in the back.

Here's the underside of the BB. You can also see the peculiar joint of the tubes there.

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Which one could it be then? Any ideas? I'm not 100% sure about aluminium but it's light. It looks very close to a 1995/1996 P7 too, but not a perfect match (allthough there could be some mid-season variations in small details).

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Just found a clip on YouTube of a 1995 Orange P7. The cable tabs/guides look nearly identical to mine, except it seems on the P7 the tabs are mounted slightly closer to the top of the TT. But everything else matches. The Rock Shox on mine were introduced in 1994 so the year would at least make...

Is this a 90's Orange Prestige?

Hi, Just picked up this one for £5. It had a horrible black spray paint job which I luckily managed to remove with the help of some paint stripper. Underneath the paint is in quite good condition, but no decals or markings of any kind. The frame is quite light, so I assume it's aluminium. The...
