Re:
Not the cleverest job is it?
Anyway, the bike was stripped before spraying, I think, so I haven't yet encountered any interesting details in the usual spots...
I got this bike from ebay for the nice retro 7-speed 105 groupset, but the frame has caught my imagination too - In part because I can't id it....

There's a thick glom of paint covering all but the bb shell (I scraped some away.)
I've managed to search out...
Thanks for that. I plan to respray anyway, so the paint isnt much of an issue. Given that mine needs a respray to.
I want another "super galaxy" frame, or lighter tourer frame, as the plain old "galaxy" feels heavier. (not that ive weighed it.)
That frame of yours might be really heavy?

Hi
Looking for £200 collected (near Canterbury.)
I thought I'd try to sell on RB before putting this bike on ebay. This site help me strip and clean the bike when I bought it a couple of years ago - but it's too small for long rides, comfortable ones anyway...
The drivetrain is in amazing...
I have a 21" frame I was going to respray but 21 is way too small for me, I need a 25" frame ideally.
The paintwork is destroyed, but the chrome is in great cond. It doesn't seem worth selling, but it definitely is worth having... if you follow me?
I'd consider selling it, but then I'm left...

Re: Re:
Thanks.
You're correct in thinking that |I wanted to keep as many original component as I could, so like the post below recommends I'll get ome Koolstops. (£20 - fully 1/5 of what I paid for the bike. Mad isn't it?)
lol. I'm leaving them for now for the same reasons as above, just not...
...mostly. :)
Thanks to the people that replied to me on my threads during the build.

That's the finished bike, stripped, cleaned and regreased.
The only significant change -...
The bike is branded 'Depsy'. And there's precious little on the interweb save for people stating that there's precious little on the interweb! I did find a 2nd hand comment that the firm were a Belgian brand of racing bikes primarily. I've found one other frame like this, but with drops and...
Regarding the BB area, I expect more problems from the cranks in future. I'm getting a torque wrench in to get them on without my guesswork but I'm always dubious about square tapers - probably from youthful bodging around with them.
The photos were lovely weren't they? Prompted me to take off...
