Agreed, also Brooks saddles (or similar) have a lot of give if not tensioned

I used to have 175mm crank and was not good for me as you say. I've noticed that 165mm cranks are gaining popularity. I think my problem is I've been watching a few youtube videos on bike fitting and made some adjustments which have made things worse. Lesson learnt, if it's not broken don't fix...

Interesting, thank you. Last week I set my gravel bike seat at the formulas height and ended up with inside front knee pain. I read somewhere that front knee pain = seat to low, rear knee pain = seat to high. Or the other way round, I can't remember.

Apologies, I guess my question is what saddle height should I set my other bikes at? Great advice thanks! I've always used the heal, leg straight method for a quick set-up. It's easy to get a bit nerdy about the correct bike fit. My height is now 5' 8.5", inside leg length hasn't changed...

Temple cycles sell a saddle which looks and feels just like a spoon, branded as temple.

I've ended up fitting one of an stx hub from my spares bin, seems to be ok. Thanks anyway. 👍
