I have been fortunate enough to pick up a completely original, one owner, 1991 GT Zaskar. I know the provenance of the bike and have no doubt that it's the real deal. It was owned from new by a guy in his 60's and was purchased brand new from Lillywhites in London in 1991. Its a Suntour XC...

Re: Have been reliably informed from the GT group that the SN is a Zaskar 20". Also has the machines seat tube and 6061 stamps on inside if the rear stays. Phew!

Re: Pics too big at the mo. Will resize and post later. Serial no is on rear left dropout and is 03971259. It looks like a 97 bike then. Rear cap is flat.

I have just picked up a GT Zaskar but I'm struggling to confirm it's identity. It has a full numeric serial no on the rear dropout (0897 so it looks like a 97) and a flat cap. It has a decal saying it's US built 7005 tubing. Is this the real thing or have I been sold a turkey?
