    My 1989 Formula Orange....

We'e never met but I'd think there are a few on here can vouch for my love of old pedal bikes, motorbikes and cars and al round geekiness :D Maybe I need to do an initiation test , specialist subject The Bicycle Data Book or The Dancing Chain, history of the derailleur gear :D

    My 1989 Formula Orange....

OK, a bit more on this, from Lester "The very first Fomula’s were made by Dave Yates, but that was only for a short time before we went to Paul Donohue. We probably had 2 bikes from Dave before getting about 6 from Donohue. It was a struggle getting what we wanted weight wise, the bikes were...

    My 1989 Formula Orange....

Formulas are super rare and TBH even I have never seen one with that stay arrangement, I'll speak to Lester and see if he can recall how many were made like that, original B52's, Ali O's, Vit T's and Dynamo (mk1) didn't have the monostay so its not like every frame has used it but I'm actually...

Tioga Disk Drive with disk brakes??!!

AIR there is a very early Hope disc hub also had splines. I wouldn't run a Tioga disc with disc brake. As has been pointed out the braking forces are totally different and the Tioga disc isn't the strongest of things. i used to watch JMC destroy them rather quickly...

yeah, both Gregor and Rachel rode mid nineties, was it Neil Ross Dan rode for? AIR he had a brother who raced as well. In later years we had quite a few riders from Sandy Wallace Cycles as well and we currently support Stu Thomson, Stu was one of Peaty's Royal youth squad we inherited the...

Ah yes, sorry i meant County Durham I can't recall any frame builders actually in Durham City. I'm fairly sure Kevin Winter made frames at Midderidge and then went it alone, not sure if Midderidge was in Durham but Kev was from Bishop I think. hmm now there's an idea :) my frame is...

Sam was partnered by Colin Davison for Polaris Challenges. Colin was owner of Denton Cycles but sadly died last year whilst out riding. I saw Sam at the funeral.

    Old Has Been

you must have had the first pair after Lester did you? I think they were made at Been Bag. I've still got a few pairs left as well but current fashion dictates that i wear baggies to go riding in, that and the fact I've put on a bit of weight :D

    Orange riders

Phew, thats a toughie in that we supported a lot of riders/teams. Team Orange?, well you've got one of the first riders on here anyway :) plus i probably can't recall everyone and will upset someone by missing them out. I'll start with a few of the pro XC riders and add to it as i remember...

    Orange Formula

i'll see if the quadra starts up.... Found a real rare Vit T tonight, popped up to my mates place to fit a slipper clutch to his 916SPS Foggy Rep, glanced at his bikes hanging up and noticed a Vit T, it looked a bit odd then i realised it was 1 1/8 headtube shimmed back to 1 inch. Evidently...
