My 2001 Chameleon, size L, one of the last USA made frames. This is the Chameleon I always wanted, I like everything about it. Fairly pimped with mostly XTR stuff, XT cranks for chainring options, DMR bar and stem for a BMX feel. I just like looking at it, and riding it makes me feel like a kid...

Re: Re: All English bottom bracket shells (pretty much all threaded MTB BB shells) are reverse threaded on the drive side, the idea being that the action of the bearings on the inside of the cup doesn't wind the cup out of the shell. I don't know if Italian made MTBs have "Italian threading"...

Whenever this happens I remove the BB cartridge from the drive side, (using an impact wrench if hand tools won't do it), then use a hot air gun on the plastic cup, they get really soft and you can just pry them out without any risk of damaging threads, particularly important in aluminum frames...
