Spoke to local bike shop i think they said £25 and they will give me cardboard and if i pack it they will ship. but other people most likely know of a cheaper option. after advice. will be sad to see it gone as i wanted to restore it myself. just never get around to doing it and now its space...

I had this bike when it 1st came out - saved for years as a school kid and it was my pride and joy, one of the 1st mountain bikes in the area.
Been sitting in my cellar and could do with the space. its a project for the future but...
I am a Dawes wildcat owner, its been sitting in the cellar for some time - still work, just need to pump up tires and the chain slips on a cog somewhere... but still is a great ride. I bought a new bike, wife birthday gift so now its time to see it go.... but i listed in a thread what's it worth...

Been sitting in my cellar for years - I bought it at the age of 15 - 42 now.
Still works - always needs air in tires and a quick oil, but rides no problem.
yes, I need to fix the slip I get under load when sometimes it like drops a cog or two. something under the rear gears maybe. was a great bike - do I keep it - do I sell it to someone who likes to restore it... unsure

I have just turned 40 and bout a new MTB so I am selling my bike I bought when I was 15 (1987). its still working other than needs some TLC. only issue with ride is the slip once in a while I believe from the back cog and would cost £20 fitted my a pro shop so someone in the know would do it...
