6 Saracen frames, two Marin frames and a Kona frame. Must get on with building up some complete bikes!

A rusty 1990 Marin Bear Valley frame and forks This should be a challenge, stuck post, seized bottom bracket and top tube dent!

I've had some success in the past by hammering / tapping on the top or bottom of the dent. Use a metal working hammer lightish weight to tap the raised area where the paint has chiped off in the OPs picture, whilst holding another hammer or a dolly (if you can get hold of one) on the bottom...

I bid on that. Nice frame and some good parts. I thought it was fixable, worst case scenario argos will repair or replace the drop out. But it's costly. I would second TIGing it. Glad that you're not binning the frame.

Here's my Ebay bankrupt Saracen frame that I converted to 69er I had to consider fork axle to crown so as not to mess up the geometry. I thin the A/C is 425mm. It rode well!

I've use chemical metal filler in the past. It's very simular to car body filler.

I'll give that a go. I can true the wheel so that it runs central in the seat stays but the wheel is slightly off centre on the chain stays. This is not by a huge amount maybe 3 - 5mm.

Hi Folks Could anyone tell me whether a 1993 Kona Cindercone would have asymetric chainstays? I built up a wheel, trued it central to the hub then fitted it in the frame and noticed that it wasn't central in the stays. Is this normal or are the stays bent? There's no sign of a bend...
