    26.2 seatpost

Funnily enough that's exactly what I've just done! Discovered the spare saddle I planned on using was one of the old type ones with a clamp in it, so one of the cheap plain posts should do the trick. Think it was just under £6 including postage, not bad I thought. Forgive my ignorance, but...

    26.2 seatpost

Hi all, Haven't been able to confirm this, but fairly certain 26.2 is the size I'll need for my '92 Hardrock, so I figure I may as well give one a go and hope for the best. Anyone have one spare they'd be willing to part with for not too much? Cheers!

Bought an XT750 rear mech from Rob. Great communication and swift dispatch, just what I was after. Cheers :D

1992 Specialized Hardrock seatpost size query

Hi all, fairly self explanatory from the title, just hoping for confirmation on what size post I'll need for my '92 Hardrock? Now I've dissolved the old, stuck one, it's time to find a new one, just want to make sure I get exactly the right size. This thread suggests it's 26.2 for a '94...

Another stuck seatpost/caustic soda success story!

It got a little warm but nowhere near as hot as the same branded stuff I purchased from Wilkinsons did. Just a bad batch of it, I suppose.

Another stuck seatpost/caustic soda success story!

Funnily enough the useless stuff did come from Asda, it just wouldn't dissolved and sank to the bottom of the bottle in a big lump. Oddly though it was the same brand as the other bottles which I got from Wilkos (see link below), and those worked just fine. Cheaper from there too...

Another stuck seatpost/caustic soda success story!

It wasn't too bad, getting it to seal properly was a bit of a pain though. The plug you made for yours looked like a much better solution!

Caustic Soda to melt stuck seatpost: COMPLETED!! (see p.2)

Re: Caustic Soda to melt stuck seatpost: COMPLETED!! (see p. Finally finished! Took quite a few rounds of caustic to get the little blighter out (a dodgy batch of crystals that didn't want to dissolve delayed things further), but it's done. Went for integerspin's bottle hole method in the end...

Another stuck seatpost/caustic soda success story!

As some of you may have seen via my posts in this thread, I recently bought an old (1992ish) Specialized Hardrock with a stuck seatpost, with the intention of getting the post out and fixing the bike up as a spare ride. I finished off the hacksaw method job the previous owner had started but...

Diamondback bike - unkown model. Can anyone identify?

Yep, there's a pic of it below along with a couple more shots of the frame. Might drop Pashley an email, perhaps they'd be able to give me some idea of the age too. I'm guessing it's one of the earlier ones judging by the lack of disc mount. Anyone have any idea how much these frames usually go...

Diamondback bike - unkown model. Can anyone identify?

Just spotted a Pashley 26mhz over on Bike Radar, looks awfully similar, even has the GT-esque protruding top tube my mystery frame has. Thoughts?

Diamondback bike - unkown model. Can anyone identify?

Ah, so they are. That's irritating, looks so similar (to me, anyway) that I thought I'd found the mystery bike. The plan is to flog the frame, so I'd rather like to find out what it is before I put it up for sale
