Re: Not that I can see or feel if I run my fingers over it. I suppose it could be masked by the re-paint job, but I'd be surprised if it had completely masked any trace of it, leaving a completely smooth finish.

Re: I had a look fairly thoroughly but couldn't find anything, especially on the left dropout. But maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I know this is the oft asked question on here, but what can anyone tell me about the age/origin of my Carlton? Things I know: it has been repainted at some point (as there are a couple of minor dents that would clearly have resulted in a chip, but where the paintwork is sound), possibly...
