Hi all, Just wondering what the RRP of my M-Trax 1000 would have been back in 1994 when it was first released? Or if anyone has a full price list of that years range that would be great! :) It originally wore Shimano Alivio kit. Heres a pic of mine now:

Re: Thanks for that. I was thinking that as its only rubbing very slightly, barely enough to scratch paint on the frame. I just remember not having this problem when I owned another M-Trax when I was younger. Mind you every frame is bound to vary by the odd fraction of a mm I suppose. ;)

Hi all, Got a 1994 M-Trax 1000 (Reynolds K2 Cromoly frame) and having some troubles. I stripped the bike completely of its standard Alivio kit and have sourced almost all NOS XT from 1994/5. This is all 8speed rather than the alivio 7speed. My problem is that when I'm in the smallest sprocket...

Awesome! Now i can keep look out for a chainset from a few years after 1994 thats in good nick too! Its the crank arms that seem to always suffer having scratches and scuffs all over them. Rings i can find new old stock no problem so if i can find some 5arm xt cranks then add the rings later...

Cheers for that but can i use a chainset from a 9or even 10 speed groupset from the newer shimano stuff, with an older 8speed cassette and 8speed chain? Its so confusing with HG, IG, SGX and the new Dynasys stuff!!! :D
