I’ll post more pics soon but I picked up the Kilauea today. Lovely to meet Graham, the old guy who’d had it from new. Thinks he might still have the receipt and handbook somewhere and will send them on if he can track them down. Bike is is in good but grubby condition.
I bought this, didn’t think for a minute it would be this cheap. Hoping to collect t tomorrow. Been told the post isn’t stuck. Fingers crossed about the rest! Already mulling over putting on some black P2

I’d aimed to have it completed by the 10th of June and I just managed to do it. I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out. But more importantly, it rides really nicely. It weighs 22lb and feel very light and responsive. I can’t wait to put some miles on it.

I’d actually bought a set of white replacement decals from Gil at Retrodecals just after I found it. When the frame forks and stem were back from the powder coaters I had to find the decals. That took a while! The stem in a period cromo that’s 120mm with a little rise.
