Have acquired an interesting frame of little provenance.
Fork has a Reynolds steerer and Campag ends - Gran Sport ones.
Frame has (had) a Vitus 971 decal and Zeus dropouts - also (their) Gran Sport ones.
It weighs 1890gm so the decal could be true (fork is 705g).

Hullo. I'm in Canada (Nova Scotia). I'd buy those two Campagnolo front hubs if you'll post (I pay) them here. I won't be surprised at the postage cost, I get and send stuff a fair bit. If yes, my postcode is B3H 2N3, let me know a total, and how you'd like to get paid.
I though I'd already posted about this, apparently not.
I fix those Mafac adjusters that always break. They have a little stub that goes in the lever body, it's brass and too weak and it bends and then breaks. I take the broken ones and drill in from the bottom end and silver solder a bit of...
I make and fix stuff for bikes, I have several lathes and an old mill and such. I'm not a pro machinist but I've been playing at it for decades, that and jewelry.
Anyway, on another forum a fellow asked me if I would have a go at the locknut for this shifter. I did a prototype and posted the...
I have a pair of 26 TPI forks and wanted to have alloy cartridge headsets for them.
So I made a tap from another Raleigh fork and mounted on a lathe cross-slide and ran it through some alloy headset parts (24 TPI). I set the feed to 26 TPI and the thread form is pretty good, I'm going to use...
MK III now available
This one has a ring to hold the cable outer inline with the adjuster screw. It'll cost more, 13 GBP for one, 10 for more than one, and I'll pay postage. Different length/different thread/no ring (cheaper), just ask.
None of the rear brake hangers I could get locally were any good - too short, too heavy, too rusty, too ugly.
So I started making some. These are a brass nut drilled and tapped M6x1 (common adjuster thread), silver-soldered to a bit of stainless spoke. To be clear, this is real silver-solder...
I'm after a set of 26 TPI cups for a Raleigh BB and of course they don't exist.
A pair of 36mm and some time on the lathe and I'll have 'em.
I have a 70mm bare cartridge that should be fine, standard bearing OD, the BB shell is 71mm.
