You didn't make it up, I owned a Ritchey Equipe, a Japanese made tig welded frame made from Ritchey designed 4130 Chromoly steel in 1982 I believe it was, it came from Lifesport in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I have the same 1986 Steve Potts bike, it came with the same paint job/color scheme but I changed the colors to blue/black. Some component changes include a Chris King original headset (not grease guard) a titanium handlebar that came from Fat Chance/Gary Helfrich and WTB Grease Guard hubs...
