FS- Alan Shorter Time Trial Frame

Re: Ah, darn it, I can't upload it. Anyway, it was a tired old BSA, and I completely took it back and resprayed, and decal'd! My darling wished to call it chestnut, so I had them made to match the BSA ones.

FS- Alan Shorter Time Trial Frame

Re: Ah, I see! That makes perfect sense. Thank you very much. I will be using the bike for rides of varying different lengths and situations, none of which will actually be time trialling, so I guess i'll benefit from more gears. I'm guessing the rear mech I've got can be used with the...

FS- Alan Shorter Time Trial Frame

Re: Thanks Steve, for your brilliant help and advice. I'll have a look at your bikes for sure. Why is it you'd go for only one cog on the front? I've bought a campag nuovo rear mech already. I'm not completly sure I understand the cable thing you spoke about, but I'll have a little look...

FS- Alan Shorter Time Trial Frame

Re: Indeed I will! Thank you very much. I'm going to put Campag bits on it. Hilary Stone says it will take a 5 speed freewheel, so I guess I'll get one of them, then two cogs on the front to get ten gears, which will go to the Campag gear change levers on the downtube. It says a rear dropout...

Re: Hi again, I hope you are well. I don't suppose you know if the chap you sold this to still has it? Or how I could get hold if it's owner? Are they a member on here do you know? Kind regards, Samuel.

    Shortened seat stays???

Re: Thanks Neil, that's great. I'm enquiring with BLACKBEARD BIKES now, to find out about frame size. It's not perfect, as I wanted a traditionally lugged frame, but I can't be too fussy! Ha! I'm still on the search! Thanks again.

    Shortened seat stays???

Re: Hi again. Thanks for the reply. I actually almost bought the blue frame, from that sane company, for £135, but I then saw it was 53cm, and I need sonething more like a 56-60cm. Darn it. We're getting closer folks!
