Will a Chris King 1" Headset fit....

Yes agreed....I will take it to the experts and confirm with them that what I think is doable is doable with a CK headset and my frame. Then order based on their recommendation and get them to fit the whole thing.

Will a Chris King 1" Headset fit....

If my Head Tube is JIS Std (or EC29, specified as Head Tube Bore ID of 29.8mm-29.9mm), mine is a little bit narrower at 29.58mm and perhaps that variance is just down to my calipers. The CK 1" Nothreadset requires a Head Tube Bore of 30.1mm (EC30) and therefore wont fit So from what I can gather...

Will a Chris King 1" Headset fit....

Re: Thanks guys for the responses.... i apolgise I am still very much an amateur here and thereforeI am not totally 'aux-fait' with the language you are using. JIS - my understnding this relates to a Japanese standard for headsets which is slightly small than other standards for headsets. As...

Will a Chris King 1" Headset fit....

As it is Xmas I thought I might treat myself to a Chris King 1" Headset for my 1995 Orange P7. So before my enthusiasm ran away with me I thought I had better check that it fits... So my understanding is the inner dimension of a NoThredset 1" headset from Chris King is 30.1mm. With a pair of...

1995 Orange P7 Brake and Gear Cables Question

Thankyou for such a detailed response....the question of Orange cabling appears to be an artform in its own right!! I will take extra care when cutting the new outers to the exact size of the originals. The indexing when the bike was new I considered to be pretty much spot on...I hope I can...

1995 Orange P7 Brake and Gear Cables Question

Some advice would be much appreciated. Looking to buy a set of both gear and brake cables and associated outers for my 1995 Orange P7 M737 groupset. I would want to go new rather than retro and stick with Shimano and am leaning towards getting the best I can. Been a bit confused over Polymer...

Another Orange P7 Restoration - but this time its mine!

Been a while since I posted but due to Covid things have slowed down......specifically the frame restoration, which hopefully I will get back from ACS in the next few weeks. Everything else is ready for re-fitment and to say I am gaging would be under statement. Although I stripped the wheels...

Superb leather saddle repair kit that actually works!!!!!!!!

Just another recommendation for this product and thanks to Pechy for putting the video together otherwise I think I would have simply bought a replacement. It was remarkable easy and I completed the task in about 30 minutes. My wife was so impressed with the result she is trying to get me to do...

Another Orange P7 Restoration - but this time its mine!

Timing wise it might be an early Xmas present.... I will keep with the original seat post as it has come up rather nicely, although not shown in the photo, and I never had a problem with it slipping. The only bits which wont be original or period will be the bar end stoppers, cables, brake...

    Pace RC36 Pro Class...silly question

Ok so I have as set of these and want to have my V Brakes mounted behind the forks. Currently the mounts are orientated for front mounting. I can only find a user manual for RC36's and in that it simply states 'remove the cap bolt on the brake clamp and slide it off the leg and reposition on...
