I have one in 18" its too small for me , Its marked as a 950 but frame stampings say 970 if that helps . Located in East Kent . Lah

I have a slightly earlier one.. once I sorted out the very aggressive riding position it’s a lovely ride .. I don’t find it harsh at all and tbh it’s a bit better than my 1989/90 Trek 950 (heresy I know ) the Exage and Deore LX combo all works just fine ..

Liking those bars and the white highlights .. I have a 950 with red frame and white lettering but no black outline .. same year I am guessing . Serial number/stamping indicates it’s a 970 frame . It’s a a wee bit bit small for me so BMX or chopper stylie seems the way to go /

To follow up … this rides beautifully .. cleaned some 30 year old mud off the chain , added a quick cleat saddle pack and some grips , then some fat tyres and lubed it . Currently rolling up and down the north Kent coast . Just need some original bars now . Thanks to once a hero for looking...

Here is my Malvern Star Sprint 12- it came from a dealer just outside Sidney (Dee Why Beach Cycles) and has now ended up in Margate Kent.
