Bit of lunchtime surgery today.. couldn’t find anyone who would do a repair for this under £200 so just bought a bit of epoxy and gonna hope for the best.
Might be ya lucky day :-) The perforated saddle I won on ebay arrived today and to be honest with you, its going to be a mare replacing the rails with the titanium ones. Would you be up for buying it for what I paid ? I'll cover the post to you.
Its a bit heavier than I imagined so I think I'm...
I hear you on the perforated, although it might make it easier to see how much tension you're putting into the fabric. I'm excited to give it a go and I'll try get some in progress shots for the thread if its helpful
Could just smooth it out and do the same to the other corner? so at least its visually equal? This guys video was pretty good - - hes got a couple others too which are worth a watch
Had a rummage around some boxes for potential parts for this. The Hope Ti Glides I have are 28h and laced to Mavic CXP30s which are too deep for this build, so might mean a bit more work sourcing rims in the correct spoke count. Rim wise I was thinking something like the Campagnolo Ypsilon but...
Nice! I don't think you're wrong. I wonder why Reynolds stopped producing it. Also read somewhere a couple nights ago that Dave Yates said "it was a tubing time bomb".. wonder what that was all about!
The only bits of info are that he built frames when he was working for Bob Mitchell Cycles, around 100 frames. Someone else mentioned that he made a lot of frames for the British Paralympic team. Gonna see if I can get a direct contact for him in case he remembers anything about the build

Was watching this bike on ebay for a few weeks and was genuinely surprised that I wasn't outbid when I took a very very last second punt...
Can't believe its been nearly 2 years since I had this built up.. I lost my workshop last year and somehow managed to find space for it at home so kept it and been riding it a lot but I think it's going to be time to take it down to see Winston for a new BB shell.. its creaking a lot!
Will...
I believe quite a few Roberts have been painted in this metallic light pink over the years. What you can see in most photos is a faded version of it but around the front mech hanger area and inside the stays is more the original pink which you can see featuring on the Roberts on this website -...
Gonna get some up to date pictures soon. I would love a fancier group and it would def deserve it but for now the stealth wins and unless it stops working it will stay. Very reluctant to spend any more on it as the idea was always a cheap runaround.
Tried turbos but wasn't a fan of the sores...
Theres lots of forced patina/ratty examples online but def doesn't have the samevibe. With the help of a metal worker next door to my workshop we worked out a method that worked to get the patina consistent and visually appealing made a concious effort to not go too over the top and keep it...
