Finally I have been able to source a jockey wheel that was missing for the chain tensioner. Have adjusted it all a little bit and it works! Now pending the "dynamic" test , and figuring out how to attach an action camera to shoot the changing gears ;)

While waiting for the handlebar tape and cable housing to arrive I've build a coil myself for the front tension arm as the bike came without. I've used 2.5 mm steel wire , pliers and a big bolt with a matching diametre to roll the coils around. It took me a few attempts to get the desired shape...

quick question: plastic was not there in the 30's , so what was in use then for cable housing ? brided cable housing ?

I spent almost half an hour removing the clinchers! Solution was to saw the wires . Anyway, re-shaping the bed looks feasible and it will help to hide some dents on the flanges likely caused by someone else trying to remove the same clinchers ! Not to much to remove, maybe just some sanding...
