1990 Diamond Back Mountain Catalogue complete UK copy from Moore and Large
Some scribbles on the front cover and pages are longer than A4 so edges cropped
Hi, when I worked in a bike shop many decades ago I remembered assembling up a couple of these awesome camo/british racing green bikes which had XT parts.
I couldn't remember much about them now apart from they had some fancy crankset, not a deore XT and it was a really light and solid bike...
I am 6ft but I prefer frames which are 17/18 inch and I jack the seatpost way up. Probably comes from years of riding BMX bikes and prefering shorter top tube/more agile bikes, either that or I have long legs and short body :-)
Hi, would PM you but I not sure I made enough posts to be able to yet
Anyway very interested in this Apex frameset, maybe you could PM me and I can reply to that?
my 19" 1991 Eldridge
Found this at a bike shop where it had been traded in , was in a sorry state with frozen seat post and orange paint completely faded.
Luckily many of the original parts were still intact, wolber rims, most lx/dx parts so with some work it turned out great
Original owner of this bike is me, and still astounded to have it back (thanks Mark).
pic below from Cheddar Gorge race in 1991 , plus close up of the Tioga sticker :)
Recent purchase from the original owner, a 15" frame 1990 Diamond Back Ascent cleaned up and serviced with only new tyres/spokes/seat required. Love the smoky paint finish which sparkles when the sun comes out!
