Hehe, yes, quite spendy, still seemed a decent option for certain circumstances though.

Closest train station to Velodrome is probably Piccadilly. But Victoria not too bad either. You can get a tram straight to the Etihad which is next door, or cycling infastructure is decent (i use the canal). Loads of bike parking as you might expect :)
Manchester Velodrome isn't a show, it's just a bike jumble (although still plenty of cool things to see). You can usually access though any of the entrances to get to the front desk for tickets & admittance to the cycle track area.
York (now Driffield) is a show, so a variety of activites...
You still run an innertube with the inserts, albeit a narrower tube. I've heard good things, but never tried them.
Good to know that the paselas have decent puncture protection though, nothing worse in winter (especially when you have reynauds!)
Back in winter mode.
The tyres are Schwalbe Delta Cruisers. They weigh a lot, and feel pretty 'dead' compared to the Maxxis Ikons I was running.
I can only run 1.75 tyres with mudguards (or could possibly go to 1.85) - does anyone have any recommendations for tyres in this size? Preferable...
Using this bike for everything at the moment. Commuting and school runs etc. It needs mudguards going back on for winter, and sadly that means going back down to skinny 1.75 tyres - bizarrely the isn't clearance to run a bigger tyre with full length 'guards.
It's had an extended fork steerer...
Hi All
Just to wrap this one up.
I sold it......for £0.99p 🤣
A guy drove all the way up from that there London, and is shipping it out to Africa (apparently). So you can all sleep easy that this won't be mowing your kids down (unless they live in Mozambique) or increasing your taxes due to...
I bought an old, worn-in B17 recently and already find it quite comfy, despite needing to 're-shape' to my bum bones.
It was £20, and already quite tatty. So I'm not too worried about rain.
So...erm yeh...buy a used brooks and save the breaking in for the previous owner!
Sounds like a Dawes "one down" which is an earlier Sardar. But they are 26", not 700c.
I'm not sure the frame is the same as mine either, so a bit stumped.
