That's what I'm trying to do BC. Hence trying to return PMs of all the people that have expressed interest from the beginning. I'm going to have to start attending more auctions because it's quite apparent there are not enough Blizzards to go around. :)
And here's a closer look at the Syncros Powerlite forks. They are 1-1/8" with 130mm steerer tube (33mm thread). Moderate amount of scratching but they are still in good condition, paint feels thick. Crown could use a nice polish.
I will work at ping everyone back who expressed an interest...
Finally back with some better photos to show the condition of the frame/forks. Scrapes and scratches from 20+ of riding seems normal. A bit of rust here and there but doesn't seem like it was abused at all.
Hey everyone, just dropping a line to say I have forgotten you all. Busy week and crappy weather means I haven't been able to pull it out for photos. The sun is suppose to shine later this week.
Well, reluctantly I have decided to sell my Blizzard. I've received lots of interest so I know it will go to a good home. Most interest has been for the frame or forks so I'll probably part it out, but if anyone is interested in the complete bike please let me know.
As soon as I get some dry...
Thanks for the clarification. My head is spinning from looking at everything available on ebay and Amazon. Also found out the middle chainring on my Kona is bent out of whack so I'll have the joy of trying to replace that now too. Bonus is that I'm going to learn a lot as I go.
And for all...
I've been holding back that little piece of info on purpose. Not sure anyone would buy it from me if they knew the deal I got. ;)
Just took it out for a little spin. Runs a little rough, as expected but shifts decent enough. I need to go buy some grease tomorrow and start the tune up. Any...
RockiMtn - Thanks of the tip about the handlebars being on backwards. I will have to fix that right away. Or maybe search out a Syncros replacement.
Cyclotoine - I use to ride mostly xc, single track. Nothing too crazy but have been known to go on giant allay rides that take us in a straight...
Thanks everyone for all your advice and gentle prodding. ;)
I've decided i will fix both up and give the Rocky Mountain a shot on the rigid forks. Might be a few weeks as the Kona requires a few more pieces. Most notably half of one side of the rapid fire shifters. I'm guessing I will just need...
That photo is a '97 Stumpjumper M2. Looks identical to the one some punk stole from me, cept my pedals were orange. I miss my baby.
Brand new I paid around $1500 i think.
Re: Re:
lol. Somehow I feel this group is just a little biased. ;)
Maybe I can keep a separate suspension fork to switch out when I need a little added cushion. Do any of you do this? I've never ridden a rigid fork before so please do excuse my ignorance.
