The same as your 1st repair.
2.4mm tungsten, pre heated the crack with a blowtorch then just 1 pass with the old tig.
Will prob crack again but it'll do for a while.

hi mate, just had my frame welded (eventually) still a couple of things wrong, the bearings are rusted solid onto those red pin things. tried welding a tube on to expand them and everything haha.

Thanks, ye I removed the pinch bolts, then removed the 6mm Allen bolt, but still couldn't get it out. Are the two big red end caps threaded in aswell? Tried to turn them but they just turned on the spot.

Hi,
I've cracked my f5 in the same place, must be a design flaw and not just a one off. How did you get the main pivot bolt out before welding? I thought it would just be a case if taking off the end cap and firing the axle through with a hammer but...
