Stella SX 73 - Winter project

This is pretty much how I finished up with it. I always attended this to be a donation bike to the local collective so it's been turned over to them to make some money off of. Spent more than I planned to on it but hopefully it'll be back out on the road a loved soon.

Stella SX 73 - Winter project

Some other notes, the insides of the frame was pretty much pristine. I was surprised at how clean it was as I serviced all the bearing areas. The crank arms are french threaded but I have some decent French pedals for it. Paint is so, so but I'm not really worried about that. Hit it with...

Stella SX 73 - Winter project

I picked this hot mess of a bike up as a winter project. Getting close to finishing it up finally, it's been an adventure. Bike didn't look to be all that bad when I got it but had obviously sat for a very long time. All the grease was dried up in everything and took some serious solvents to...

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

A couple of final pictures of this one. I got in the final cosmetic pieces and finished it off. Yellow Campagnolo logo'd bar plugs and crank dust caps as well as adding some yellow finishing tape for a splash more of color and removed a few of those Columbus stickers. Funny thing for me is...

Old Ribble steel bike made by Martelly? Pic heavy

It's been awhile so I thought I'd update this post with where the bike is now. I've made a lot of changes to it. Pulled off the old and peeling Ribble Decals. I have some new Martelly ones for it but am debating leaving it clean like in the pictures below. Upgraded it to a Dura Ace RD, new...

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

Nope, all my bikes are for riding and riding long miles. So I need a saddle that works for me. That wouldn't be a Turbo. Have several hanging on the wall of the garage right now, LOL!

Trying to find out about this Concorde Frame

Thought I'd update this with some pictures of the built up bike. Still waiting for a few cosmetic pieces to come in and need to decide on what to do about all those Columbus decals. Built with a Mavic Starfish crank and then a used Chorus 9 speed groupset I had on hand. Tried to keep the...

Friction shift 11 speed drive train?

Late to the party but I had an old 80s Orbea Cabestany setup to do this. Used the old Simplex DT shifters which worked to cover the whole 11 speed cassette. RD was an Ultegra 9 speed and had modern cables and housings. To be honest it worked extremely and was not fiddily to shift gears at all.

My Irish made 1987 Rapparee SLX with Record Ergopower.

Re: Great story and pics. Looks like a sweet ride! I love getting the story and history behind the old bikes I find and ride now. Part of the fun is learning about the builder.

My Duell Vienna is finally built up and it's a beauty

The Vienna was the lightest model and judging by price the second highest model. Couple more:
