I forgot to mention that I understand that many LBSs have never experienced this issue for the simple reason that they've probably never shipped an e-stay before because they're not very common. Nonetheless, you can't MAKE people care; either they care, or they don't.

I posted about this on RB a few years back, but I cannot find my original post. It contained enough pics to show the damage that can occur when shipping a full bike (specifically an e-stay) if it's packed carelessly. Perhaps someone here can find it? Bottom line: the abrasive end of the axle...

I believe you are correct, @PanoIgano . I'm just saying that I wouldn't blame anyone for going after that bike if the advertisement became common knowledge. Once it's out, it's fair game really, hence my desire for confidentiality.

By asking £260 on eBay, the seller is, in effect, offering a discount for RB members of roughly 23% (selling to members here for £200, which is 77% of what the eBay buyer willl have to pay). Subtract the 13% that eBay charges, and the seller ends up making roughly 15% more from a random eBay...
