Nice bike! The donor bike kinda looks like a Diamondback Vertex that I still have and ride once in awhile, except the cable routing is slightly different.

Thanks for the comments. I do have a different seat that looks cooler and is lighter but is no go beyond about 20 miles. It's a bum biter, lol. I hunted around for parts that were significantly lighter than what was on the bike and either black or carbon. The bigger 700x25 tires and puncture...

Can't quite put my finger on it but remember seeing a bike that had the cable routing like that before where the fr der cable came up thru that chainstay nipple..............

Well, here's my 2009 Allez Sport in oem trim................(it never made it home from the shop when buying it like this tho) Lots of parts later and 3.5 lbs lighter..............(only frameset = oem) FSA Team Carbon Crankset, USE carbon aero seatpost, carbon stem, carbon aero bars...

I used to have what I beileve to have been a 1993. It was black front triangle with silver swingarm. It would not keep the chainline straight as it was not an XC bike so I traded it in after about 8 months of riding towards a new Vertex hardtail. Still have that bike today. Haven't been able to...

Bought this new in 1993 and been riding it ever since. It is setup for touring at the moment since I have several othe HT and FS bikes for offroad. This came with 46/36/28 setup so I went with 12/25 road cassette for touring. Has ergo grips now and also has XT 7 spd rapidfire/servo wave brk lvr...
