It should actually be a 27.2 post in a zaskar frame from 99, in fact some of those frames had such terrible build quality in and around the seat tube clamp area even the correct size appeared loose on some leading to caratti importing some odd 27.4 posts as warranty items The factory build spec...

Your build looks like it's coming along nicely, good to see another one of these in this colour, I got mine as a new old stock from the states a couple of years back (I couldn't dream of affording it back in the day) and love it :lol:

I have emailed the seller of some decals in germany but not had any reply to the question of him posting to the Uk, is there any really helpful German retrobikers who I could get them posted to who would send them on to me?

Can you honestly imagine one of the 'leading' mountain bike magazines in the uk coming up with anything else? Theres no way on earth that they are going to or even be allowed to publish an article suggesting that a bike that's 12 years old is better than what gt or anybody else are producing...
