Brand new 2000 12.5" GT Avalanche

Not super vintage and I think a little overpriced but cool nonetheless. I bought the same bike in 2000 but a larger frame and the alternate yellow, black and ball burnished. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/bik ... 27178.html

    Vintage - GT AVALANCHE

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-GT-A ... SwQVpar7us Really nice shape but the shipping to Canada is pretty expensive and I really am only looking for a 14.5" frame (which I think this is). Shipping to the UK seems more reasonable.. Also from the same seller...

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

Thanks for everyone's offers and advice. I did finally find a Manitou 1994 MSport on Ebay for a reasonable price. They are on their way now so hopefully they work out. Although another pair could be desirable in the near future since my friends are now asking about a pair for their kid's...

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

This is the picture I've seen. http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/fat-bi ... anny6.jpeg In this post: http://forums.mtbr.com/fat-bikes/fatbik ... ost8180150 Like I've said I've only heard that M2 have these externally butted stanchions. I've never taken one apart or had one in my hands. I...

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

Yes that's what I'm planning. I don't think the author ever had a M1, M2 or M3 (or M4) in his hands and was just commenting on the fact that they all have press on dropouts. The M1 can be done this way. The M2 only by changing the stanchions. The M3 is like the M4, Magnum and Comp. I've got...

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

The M2 has the older M1 design but I understand that the stanchions are not the same diameter all the way (externally butted). This is a problem when shortening them! The stanchions from another fork could work in the M2 (From M1 or Sport). I'll consider it and contact you if I'm interested...

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

Visually they look similar but the Sport is based on the M1 design where the elastomers are below the stanchions. The Comp has the elastomers inside the stanchions. Harder to modify. Thanks though for the post!

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

Further to my post. It could be pair that has sustained some damage to either or both: 1) Bottom 3 inches of lower legs (tube) but not the dropouts or 2) The top 3 inches of the stanchions. Need to cut these parts down and shorten them anyways! Cheers

    Manitou M-Sport 1994 Edition

Hi, Looking for a Manitou M-Sport 1994. Does not need to have elastomers working. Anyone have a pair in good shape and willing to ship to Canada? I want to mod them to fit my sons 20" wheeled mtb.. These forks that come on kids bikes are heavy and sprung too stiff. He loves riding and I...
