The hoffman is back out of hibernation

Nice looking old race bike. A Hoffman Flash by the look of it. How long is the top tube?

Thanks for your interest but it is not for sale.

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

This is the only Turner frame i have ever owned/ ridden so have no idea how it compares to a RFX 4(faux?) bar frame or the much later dw link 5 spots. I have owned a few other old dh bikes though over the years and the Afterburner is up there imo. Must be the reason i have kept it all these...

    BMX Serial Code

One brand that Moore Large did distro for was Diamond Back. Their in house brand though was Emmelle (meaning ML =Moore Large) according to posts on bmxmuseum. The indent in the chainstay for sprocket clearance is not a feature you would expect on a higher end cro-mo bmx frame imo. 1" or 1...

Short tt and a low bb. Feels 'right' when you sit on it thanks to plenty of sag and a high front end.

    2000 Kona Mama pro xl

Bought this off ebay earlier this year mainly due to the Profile cranks & Imperial chainring. Bike also has Mavic xy bmx rims which are pretty rare. Pro xl size so has a roomy 21.5 inch top tube. Now upgraded with some more Profile goodness in the form of a Sun Ringle Envy wheelset with red...

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

Here is picture of the serial number stamped in to the bb. Much later number frame than your Misser replica. Both with the same double S stamp. Suppose the stamp tool Turner used must have been so. Does your bike also have the letter B (burner?) stamp on the chainstay as pictured?

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

Yep the long Tioga saddles were incredibly uncomfortable things to perch on. The scirocco scala was mine. White seats! Nightmare to keep clean! :p

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

Think the late 90's Kona Stab (and Stinkies?) had a seatstay mounted link not a chainstay horst link. The Kona Misser replica's though have the horst link which i assume marks them as being made in the USA by Turner. Also have a DDG Superstrad saddle (think sofa) which needs recovering for the...

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

Some back in day pics of the Afterburner. The Manitou X vert carbons were originally orange with canti mounts which were removed (sacrilege today probably?) and then sprayed black and a genuine later decal kit applied. The frame still has the MRD (manitou racing developments) sticker on the...

    1998 Turner Afterburner.

Newbie here. Thought i would share some pics of my Turner Afterburner i have owned since the late 90's. Recently rebuilt the 3 linkage 'axles' using modified Nukeproof hardwear from the closing down CRC sale. Now the four bar linkage is play free once again. Have some pics. Really enjoyed...
