Ive got a pair of marin lite handlebars that are scratched to hell. I'm going to give them a good rub down with wet and dry to try and get rid of the marks. But can anyone tell me the best way to polish them after. I'd like to get them really shiny if thats possible.

Thats interesting about the decals, i've seen some on ebay but none for the bear valley. It would be great if i could get hold of the silver tange and head badge. Hope i can do this project justice although it wont be me that will get the pleasure of riding it as its only a 17.5 inch frame but...

Cheers mate, i'll check out the spec now. Unfortunately, thats not dirt you can see but rust. Its pretty bad in a few places, particularly the head tube. Ive just finished stripping it down now and thankfully the stem, post and bb all came out without any hassle so im thinking of a new paint...

hi guys, anyone out there know what year this bear valley is. I think it might be 93' but i'm not sure. Its in a right state and appears not to have many original parts so if anyone knows what the original spec was that would be great too.

The diamond backs from that era were great bikes and some of the best looking mtb's around. My first decent mountain bike was a DB ascent, it was pearlescent white with a smoky blue front end and forks. Pretty sure it had a 300 lx groupset too. I wish i'd never sold it!!!
