Thanks a lot. 👍 I'll take a few more pictures to help identify some parts that might assist with the bike's identification. I've looked through all the available catalogs from 1982 to 1987, but none of the descriptions or pictures fully match.

The Mercian appears to be just the right size for me, but it's too far away, and the seller doesn't ship.
