    I think I found them, MKS BM-7: https://www.mkspedal.com/?q=en/product/node/94#

And then some indeed! It's gorgeous! What a bike, and what a build, great job!

I just finished this beauty today, and got back from a test ride. What a bike! It's my first full suspension, so quite a different feel than what I'm used to.

    1995 Kona Sex Too

Here it is, finished, trail worthy, and now has a bit of dirt on the tires: This bike is so much fun, but compared to all my other bikes, is unnervingly springy. I'm going to have to get used to the way full suspension feels under my feet. The way Grip Shift works will have to become...

Switched to black housing, and yep, this looks proper: There will still be orange housing on the rest of the bike, it matches the decals and other orange Kona details nicely.

Here's a little write up on how I swapped out the pulley bearings. The original bearings for these silver Control Tech were already shot when I bought them, as well as these black Vuelta pulleys I had on my Trek 990 for a little bit. The Vuelta, no joke, had plastic bearings! You can see the...

Here is what I've decided to fit to the bike, along with the rear derailleur: I just happened across this gorgeous golden champagne colored Bullet Bros. Hypertension, so of course I had to pick it up for this build, with all the existing precious metal colors. I also happened across this very...

    1996 Kona Hahanna

This reminds me a lot of my first "proper" bike, which was also a 1996 Hahanna, in a much smaller 14" size. Here it is the day after I bought it, cleaned it up, and set it up for my riding position: Here it is close to when I stopped riding it as my daily commuter bike:

BoTM Bike of The Month February 2025 "Lugged Special" Time to vote

Well darnit, I missed the deadline to submit my Trek 990... ah well, next time! That Rocky Mountain Transpo by @sylnos is stunning, looks remarkably similar in color and kit to my 1987 Diamond Back Arrival.

    1995 Kona Sex Too

When I first bought the bike, and saw it had grip shift, I know that I wanted to keep those on the bike. I usually only run thumb shifters, but I've always wanted to try grip shift. While I was shopping for parts, I came across a couple pairs of X-Ray SRT-800, both the clear and smoke. If these...

These certainly cleaned up quite nicely! The front rim decal is quite a bit more faded, so I'd eventually like to find some replacement decals I have a few more things on order, including the housing and cables, and one more small part for the fork. My next post will be to showcase the...

    1995 Kona Sex Too

It'll definitely be ridden on some trails! A lot of the singletrack here in Missouri are similar to the kinds of trails that used to be ridden when this bike was new. We also have some modern trails, so I'm curious to see how scary that would be on this early of a bike. I'm also going to take...

Here's a sneak peak at my latest project, new for 1995, the first production full suspension Kona bike... I'm afraid to say it and incur the wrath of an auto filter for naught words!

    1995 Kona Sex Too

It's been far too long since I've posted an update to this bike, so I'll get y'all caught up. I disassembled the bike and mulled over the theme of the bike, while I sourced a few parts. I just finished a 1987 Diamondback Arrival, that I'll create a thread for soon, so my work stand was empty...
