2001 Stumpjumper. Only the frame and lx shifters are original everything else has been replaced.

My 2001 M4 stumpjumper. The only things that are still original is the frame and the deore lx shifters which still work faultlessly😀

Re: I've had a few sets of 26" xc717 with deore lx and xt hubs, been very pleased with them. The last set though I split the rim over tightening the spokes so needed to get a new of wheels. I saw on eBay a set of NOS American Classic mtb wheels but was a bit unsure as the reviews were a bit...

Re: You could still use the Aldi calipers just to check that both the seat posts are the same diameter regardless of the actual dim. Whatever the reading they should both be the same then at 31.6 and if there is a difference at least you will know which one is thicker.

Aldi are selling 400ml cans of GT85 for £1.99 at the mo.
