Guys,
Really sorry, but I've been a bit of a twat... In trying to sort out my brakes, I've subsequently managed to cock all of my cabling up. I've got everything I need, shy of a couple of gear cables, but obviously I've got no chance of scoring them before the shops open in the morning...
Yeah I can...
It's just that I'm off down to Dalby tomorrow, and I know what I'm like for turning the simplest of jobs into an epic swear-a-thon, so I'm trying to keep it to the bare minimum until I have dedicated time to sort things...
I've decided that I'm sick of p*ssing about with these V-brakes that I've put on in some kind of misguided attempt to get more braking power... I'm going to try and just get the cantis set back up properly as they should be a whole load less stress in the long run. I was just wondering though...
Always a nice, "fun" camera... I've got my eye on a Bronny SQ-A with an 80mm lens on the 'bay at the minute. It's still < £100, so I'm hoping it's going to stay reasonable!
For all the convenience of digital, I still love film.
In addition to all of my digi kit, I've also still got:
Nikon F4
Nikon FM2
Nikon FE
Holga
Lubitel 166
Of all the camera's I've ever gotten rid of, I miss my Olympus OM2 the most - was a lovely little camera.
Cheers folks!
Hehehe.
I know a guy who's a pharmacist - he basically is responsible for making/trialling legal drugs... He used to joke that he was going to make a "bum lube" in conjunction with Polo and tagline would be, "The mint for your hole".
I work for a firm who are planning to sack 15,000 people this year... I think a CTW scheme is going to do very little towards producing happy, healthy employees in the greater scheme of things...
It looks a hell of a lot like my Avanti when I first got it, right down to the manky all-in-one bars and the short cage XT back end. It would also tie in with the New Zealand angle FWIW. The forks & stem are different, but the geometry is about the same:
I remember Pulstar hubs, so that'll put them some time in the early - mid '90's I reckon... I seem to remember a particularly pretty purple set that I lusted after for many a long while. Can't tell you much more than that though...
I can drive myself if it makes things easier?
I'm starting to think that it might make sense in any case... I've only just seen that the Red at Dalby is 22 miles, and given my current levels of fitness, giving myself the option of a bailout might be wise... ;)
