yes I suspect something "homemade" too, though if this was their only frame, it certainly was ambitious. The cable guide is a metal tube brazed in. I'm not sure what is up with the screw in the BB shell.. the BB is stuck so right now that mystery has to wait

Bought this recently from a guy in Colorado.. can't seem to find any info on it. It used to be neon green at one point, and has a bunch of crazy features, that's all I know
If you are going to be spending any effort on the brakes you might as well just replace them completely.. they probably will never offer satisfactory stopping power

Thanks guys. I took the Trek out for a spin again the other day.. I forgot how agile this bike is.. I need to ride it more often! Feels really good on or off road. Here's some more pics, no changes to the build. I need to swap out the brakes and bling it up with some higher end skewers...

Made a few changes to the tandem.. wider bars, replaced the mismatched wheelset and tires, slapped some new (reproduction) saddles on there too! Man this thing is a beast! With the slick tires I was hauling ass. It handles so well...

Yes.. i am kicking myself for not buying a few reproduction Turbo saddles when i saw them on sale recently, two matching turbos would look really nice. The mismatched saddles is something that is bugging me. I've already sorted the stem and bars and have a wheelset i will swap on...
I was lucky enough to purchase this yesterday from the original owner, former Ritchey team member Jim Sullivan. I have owned two other tandems including a nice Burley and this one blows it away in both ride quality and of course craftsmanship. It doesn't hurt that it's my favorite color too...
