Well I have old age (so take "ride hard" for what it's worth) and lightness (65 kg) in my corner!

I will give you some love here - as I own a similar frame and am finishing it up now! Just landed an AMP F2 fork for it, and shifters arriving in a few days. Won't be a full period correct build (close-ish) but I intend to ride it hard!

Yeah, I just finished a 1990 970 rebuild and even swapped in a few lighter parts than stock and she was a solid 26.5 lbs. Your paint is much cooler!

Just curious - any chance you weighed the frame when you had everything apart? Assume these are solid 5 lb'ers?

This little Bonty is maybe a 12 or 12.5" frame Specialized Stump M2 also came in an XS size and probably easier to locate. My wife has an XS M4 Stumpy (below). There are also some XS Fat Chances Yo Betty! and the like out there.

landed a proper 1" steel stem (made by Chris Kelly I believe) and a NOS LX trigger shifter. eventually I'll find the right Bonty Ti bar for it and I think some Paul brake levers would like nice on there instead of the bulky Avids, but all the adjustments are nice for smaller kid hands. But...

Newb question: what point on the crown is the index point for the Mag 21's adjusters? Is it the gap where the stanchion tubes bolt in?
