Your frame is one of the batch made under contract by the Miki factory in Japan going by the serial number. April 1983. The tubing is tange 5 and good build quality.

Other than the top of that right hand rear stay looks like it should be quite sound under the paint.

Re: Update for peops following this thread. I started doing a dry assembly on the Corridore to try it for size and it seems that like mars bars, inches were much bigger in the 50's :| The stand over height with 700's was giving me a serious wedgie and I imagine that with 27's it would be...

Once I've finished paint stripping the frame, just got chainstays left to do, and inspected it properly, the plan is to throw some components on it and see how I like it to ride. It's 21 1/2" frame which is at the top end for me at 5'6", and with the very generous clearances it's a very tall 21...

Re: I paint stripped the forks and gave them a light blasting to lift out the corrosion, they've come up quite well. I'm reluctant to blast the frame though, the tubing is so thin. I don't know how many coats of paint were on the forks but they feel lighter!
