Holdsworth Frame Numbers - Tricycle Conversion Kit

Took me a while to find a good one. I'm finding all sorts of wondrous stuff on this trike forum.

Holdsworth Frame Numbers - Tricycle Conversion Kit

Thank you Paul!!! I'm much obliged. I had not found this. I've just looked at a few posts and I already have learned some stuff and saved down some pictures. I recently purchased a 1947 Holdsworth La Quelda from Hilary Stone and eventually will mate that with the conversion unit. This...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

The forks look enough like Holdsworth forks that I've got no qualms about using them. They probably aren't Holdsworth forks. I can barely read the numbers myself even in a good light. It looks like there's a 22 with a space, then maybe 427? Someone wrote over the top of the stamped numbers...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

I purchased this La Quelda from Hilary Stone and had it shipped across the pond. It's a 53cm which will be much better for my trike project than the 61cm frame I recently purchased. The serial number on the BB is 7870 and has an H just below the number. This would put it smack into 1947. The...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Thanks Keith, I'm not savvy enough to ID lugs. Scrimshaw believes them to be Nervex lugs and I'll go with that. Tube sizes look standard to me. It's 61cm too big for me in general. I was looking for an inexpensive frame and this one cost me less than $100 shipped. I usually ride a 53 or...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Yes, Keith the dropouts or "ends" are indeed Campagnolo. Thanks for the above tips Mr. Scrimshaw. One embuggerance is that a lot of frame photos don't show the rear brake bridge in a lot of detail or at all. It will be fun trying to figure it out. There are plenty of Holdsworths with...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Hey Gents, I'm nearly certain this is not a Holdsworth frame just from the number. I thought someone here might have some input as to what it might be. What I know: Size: 61cm Dropouts: Campy Serial Number MPV 289 The lugs are quite nicely done. The rear brake bridge may reveal some clues...

Holdsworth Frame Numbers - Tricycle Conversion Kit

Re: You're right. It's one of the reasons I'm trying to find some good diagrams of these. I have a single-speed freewheel that fits nicely, but I'm still scratching my head over some other technical questions.

32 hole actually. The freewheel block sits so far away from the derailleur, I don't see how it could function properly. I've seen photos of it being done though. This is going to be a challenging adventure to be sure.

Holdsworth Frame Numbers - Tricycle Conversion Kit

I recently picked up a Holdsworth tricycle conversion kit and am wondering if those work into the serial number chart in any way. It would be great to get an idea of when it was made. I've been wanting one for a long while and finally got one in pretty decent condition on eBayUK. The serial...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Sorry I forgot to add that. It's a 26.8 oddly enough. Gave me some serious headaches during the build as I could not get a good measurement with my calipers. I assumed it was 27.2 and was wrong. I had a lovely aero Campy post I was going to use, but it didn't fit. Also, my Gemini tandem has...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Since I was in the garage with the camera I thought I'd snap some of my Mistral and send. I realized I had misread the number on this one as well. It looks to me now like it's 43631 and not 43831 as I posted earlier. I bought this frame in San Jose, California in 1978 to replace my beat up...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Pictures of the other "shop" frame 69364. The head badge did not come with the frame, I'd purchased it separately. Attaching a photo of how it looked when I received it. It hung in my garage for about four years before I got a bee in my bonnet to do something with it. The water bottle bosses...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Hi Doug, As far as the tubing goes for either frame, I am completely in the dark and not expert enough to be able to spot the difference. Both frames were purchased on eBay. I'll attach photos I tool of the lug work and fork crowns. It takes a 27.2 seat post. Note the odd head badge. I...

Since I shared these photos privately with CBguy, I thought I'd post them for the group. These are my two "shop" bottom brackets and bikes. - Eric
