Success, thanks. Second question: can anyone identify which model of ITM forks these are.

Don’t be fooled by the Stumpjumper decal. Thanks to a helpful guy on eBay, and knowledgeable people here, it’s been identified as a 1995 Rockhopper. 19”, steel, repainted. Various minor paint imperfections, but still looking smart. £30 plus £8 delivery, or collect from Essex.

On top of the tube, not inside?

Do I need special tools? Forks are carbon ITM.

Seat tube - centre to centre then centre to top - 452/484mm I’m guessing on what ‘centre’ means. To the centre of the adjoining tube? Top Tube - centre to centre – 585mm The weight of the frame and forks might help too – 3.4 - 3.5 kg (on accurate bathroom scales) HTH

Thanks for everyone’s help. So, the consensus is 1995 Rockhopper? The frame seems to match up. The forks though. On mine, where both fork tubes come down and meet the wheel spindle holder plates (sorry, don’t know the actual name of those), that lowest part of the tubing is curved. I found this...
