Steel My bike looked like that the first couple of months. Mine is a '93, it looked exactly the same as this one, even decals. I just took mine to Moab. It still drops.

Bought this before I had a car. I Finally finished it with a LX front derailer, some avid V-brakes, and a $6 aheadlite KORE stem...maybe some rims are needed. Took it to Slickrock Trail, never had to get off going downhill, it still works. Had to deal with a lot of mockery from the $3,000...
