Bugger, its all gone wrong here today . We have a hospital admission and a defunct car to start with. I now need to go and buy some wheels tomorrow morning and i maybe needed for kids party chaperoning in the afternoon. The morning is definately now out but perhaps i can join from lunchish...

Looks like i'm in again this year too. Sold the flobster so i'll let the gods of car boot and auction dictate this years steed. I assume the normal entrance fee of a bundle of value currency through your letterbox the night before is still acceptable ??

Went for a ride across the meadows last night and the recent rain hasnt done anything to soften the ground. The Muirwoods at times felt like riding a pneumatic drill but this was at 'speed' whilst trying to keep up with my 14yo son. Hopefully we will be more sedate but i still think i will opt...

Yep, up for this as seeing as it probably runs within 500yds of my house i think its rude not too... I can offer a fuel/fixing/lavvy stop if required as well

Right definately doing this now ( providing its not hurling it down !! ) and starting this year from the guildhall. Will be giving the trusty (ish) Muirwoods an outing but my son is going modern........ the record sprint has transmission problems !

Nicely not upto date but it gives you the idea. Just under 30 miles at a leisurely pace to and from the country fair. Most types of food and drink there and i'm sure there is a pub on the green anyhow....

I'm up for that. Have rode this with the family for the last couple of years but i think it maybe just myself and the older boy this year. We normally pick it up from the Newmarket Road p +r for ease of parking ( and cheapness )

Hi, my name is andy and i could be up for this although 6 miles and then a pub stop does sound more appealling. I have just joined the forum and have a garage full of what most people call rusty crappy old bikes..... Fair point at times. I hope to catch up with a few locals at some...
