    To add... a custom axle isn't just somethng to get for extreme use... even pedaling around it will be noticeable. The one single issue with shivers was the axle. It was a major flaw... and manitou solved it w a hex axle. Its def worth 50 bucks to invest even if they won't see much heavy...

    ATF? may I ask for what purpose? The best stuff to run in shiv's is 5 or 7.5 weight gold spectre. I found they dive going into corners etc with 5 unless you crank your compression on both legs a considerable amount, but once done, they are ultra smooth. Also, best fix for shivers to fix...

    BTW, those Lahar's (sorry If I'm misspelling, but I haven't double checked the spelling once yet lol) are one of only a few true rearward travel bikes.     Yea GT had a full carbon bike as well. Lahar are beautiful. SOmeone has one on here. The new santa cruz isn't entirely carbon like you mentioned. I think those half carbon bikes are kind'a hackish IMO. It's like an easy way out because the chainstays are the hardest thing to design for...
