    SOLD - 60, 70, 80's (??) Phillips Phaser bike

Re: You don't see many of these! :o I received one of these as an early 15th birthday present in early December 1984; about a week later (still about a fortnight before my birthday!), I wrote it off in a collision with a car in Sandiacre. Weren't these also available as 10-speed?

A Paint Question - Raleigh Panasonic

Hi folks, A quick question about Raleigh Panasonic frame colours... I seem to recall that the blue used on these frames was RAL5005 (please correct me if I'm wrong), however, I cannot find a paint code for the Pearl White that was used on them. Does anyone know the code for it please? Thanks...

...Spotted in Long Eaton, Derbyshire today. Looked to be in reasonable nick, but in need of a clean and TLC. I was tempted, but I have too many projects on the go at the moment. Miss Elany Antiques & Pianos, 2 Salisbury St, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 1BA Phone: 0115 973 4835

1985 Raleigh 531c Panasonic (Best in Show Eroica)

Re: Wow - She looks absolutely stunning! I look forward to seeing her at L'eroica - I should be there on my similar, (but very unrestored) Gran Course.

    Plastic kits

Re: Blimey - There seems to be an awful lot of people with large houses/ lots of space with all these 1:24 and 1:32 scale aircraft!  My 1:72 collection takes up (my partner would say "takes over") a sizable portion of the house. At the last count, there are 96 built aircraft...

    Plastic kits

Re: Aha! Some fellow modelmakers! :D I've been "having a stab" at them for years, with varying degrees of success. I am a member of The Airfix Tribute Forum; you can view some of my work here. As widowmaker stated, they are quite therapeutic - It certainly beats gawping at the...

    Raleigh Weinmann 1985 531

Re: That's a beautiful machine. Lovely condition! :D At first, I thought the frameset was a Gran Course similar to mine, but now I'm not so sure... This one? Found via Google search. Apologies if it's anyone's from the Forum.

Raleigh Gran Course (Team Panasonic, 1987)

Re: Today was my Cycle Sunday; it was this machine that received the most attention. I completely stripped down the front end, including the front brake. The grease inside the bearings was almost solid, and there were three missing bearings from the bottom, and two broken ones. I cleaned...

    Raleigh (Panasonic) Team Cadet

Re: Today was a Cycle Sunday; I spent most of the day fiddling and fettling this machine, and also my Gran Course. I applied the new handlebar tape. Not sure if modern, cushioned tape suits an older machine though: The Corsa's original spec. seemed to include "proper" brake levers. The...

Re: What an amazing collection! I particularly like the 753 Team Raleigh and the PX-10 (I remember drooling over the latter in my LBS when I was younger). Many thanks for sharing photos of your truly splendid collection!

Raleigh Gran Course (Team Panasonic, 1987)

Re: 1987 Raleigh Team Panasonic Of course. :D Sorry for the delay, I've been rather busy... The rear mech. was changed to this one after I fitted a 7-speed cassette. I still have the correct one in a box, along with the original ex-Criterium cassette. Incidentally, I have found an old...

    Raleigh (Panasonic) Team Cadet

Another one from my small collection; a Raleigh Team Cadet. I actually found this bike in a factory skip about 20 years (or more) ago, a quick "ask" of a chap in the factory resulted in me acquiring it ("Yeah, that's Bert's, he chucked it in there this morning... Bert? Some lad here wants your...

Raleigh Gran Course (Team Panasonic, 1987)

Re: 1987 Raleigh Team Panasonic MrW - That ID is good enough for me! Many thanks for that! :) Would the frame number itself give any clues? I shall post some more pics later... :) Over the years, the chainstay decals have gone. Depending on the condition of the paint, I may treat her to a...
