Hi guys, Grabbed a cheap F900 off marketplace last night night, instantly noticed the head bearing were a touch rough... My question is how do you apply preload to them like a conventional 1"1/8 headset? Does its just rely on on the bearings being a snug fit? Also is there a top cap missing...

So the fattys were used on my blue bike in project 1..

Yea there's a few about with the head shock but never seen any rigid.

Ebay sided with me in the end as nowhere in the listing did it mention it was for ornamental purposes only. And I haven't seen a pair of fatty R forks for sale since iv been looking since September. I'm friends with a good machinist so it's easy really and gives them a lease of life again 👍

Managed to find a colour match I'm happy with,

Bagged myself a few sets of shabby racelines over the last 6 months and Im going to refresh them with new decals Sun damaged

Applied some decals to the fatty R forks and they looks amazing
