Some changes I made to the bike. I kept all the parts that I swapped.

That’s what I’m hoping for. I was curious because the chain rings on the Triomphe are 52/36 which would be nicer for lower gearing. I currently have a 13-28 Miche cassette on the way, so that might be enough. I haven’t ridden a 53/39 in years since changing all my bikes to compacts.

Now would I be able to get these to work on my bike that has An Athena 8 speed crank on it using my current bottom bracket?

Can someone please help identify the model of this crankset please? Thank you in advance. All I know is that it’s a compact 10 speed in 110bcd. Im leaning towards Veloce.

Just bought this from an older Gentleman. He bought it in Ranica, Italy in 1995. It has an 8 speed Campagnolo Athena group set. Only part not Athena is the FD which is Record. Gearing is 53/39 with a 13-26 rear cassette. All my other bikes have been changed to 52/36 with a 27 as my largest...

I’ll check to see if that’s the case. The seller told me everything is original from when he bought it in 1995. I’m assuming everything was tight prior to him shipping it.

I just bought a 1995 Colnago Elegant. It was packed and shipped from a bike shop. When I torqued the seat post clamp to 5NM the seat post still moves around. I tried to go to 7NM, but the bolt doesn’t want to turn anymore. I don’t want to force it. Am I doing something wrong? TIA.
