Dunno who he is either. It's my uncles bike, and we assume he had it made. I'm going down the like 4 like refurb. I don't want to compromise anything. I had confirmation that it is a Tom Avon and a rare one. Thanks for your interest and info.

Re: Hi, I was given a bike 25 years ago which my uncle called 'the Avon' ! Does anyone have any ideas how I can tell whether it is? It has no decals and I think it may have been re sprayed. A pic can be posted but haven't had time - cheers
