I'm looking for a pair of 600 STI levers to complete my groupset for my mid 90's Cougar.

The guy i bought the bike from has now given me a box of what he calls"spare bits" and guess what was in there?? Shimano 600 derailleur ( perfect working order) the original one that he'd swapped for the MTB mech so that he could select that huge 34t rear cog. Also in the box was the 8 speed...

Thanks Jonnyboy! I picked it up for £90 :D i know it's kinda been built up with lots of different parts and that long cage rear mech i think was needed to get that 34t rear cog to spin, the previous owner wasn't keen on working up the hills i think! Shimano 600 chainset 53/42 9 speed...

Does anybody know what model this Cougar is built by Terry Dolan? Thanks!

I've had a reply from Dolan and they told me that they don't keep records of Cougar frames anymore :( so if any of you can shed any light on what model it is and year it was built. Cheers!

Frame number is 1899 thanks for your advice i'll ask the man himself.

Hello all! this is my first thread, can anyone give me any details on my cougar? year model? ect: I know that it was built by Terry Dolan and thats about it. As you can see it's not all standard but i plan to restore it. Cheers!
