Hi There
I have a number of Donor bits in Leicester including (I will check) a couple of the original black wheel rims )No spokes or hub as these are going onto my RRS
Again will have to check, they will need a full refurb though
I think what your referring to above is the drailliuers - If so...
Following on from my earlier posts, I do have a few things left over from a large RRS used as a donor bike including the large 26" (I think) frame.
If you need anything then do leave me a message, cannot say that I will have the part you need but you never know
Cheers
Mark
The bike pictured in my first post has drawn many positive comments since I have been using it weekly
I would often go for country rides with my 13 year old lad who often commented that he loved my bike.
Then one fine day a great example popped up on eBay, I couldn't press the buy it now button...
After a few months of tinkering, the refurbishments to my Raleigh Record Sprint are close to completion ready for warmer spring days to come
After receiving advise from the RRS Guru earlier today I am starting my own thread so that you can see how the bike looked last year and how the bike will...
Retro Guru, Thanks for your advise, no doubt I may pose more questions your way in the future
As you mentioned I have set up a new thread,

Hi all
My 23" project is nearing completion however my 13yr old son loves the bike so much that he wanted one. Found an absolute beauty on eBay that I bought it for him. The 21" in the picture is completely original. Dated October 1985 everything is spot on. Shimano 105 golden arrows...

Hi all, sorry to be a pain, anybody got any good tips for bringing up the gold on the crankset as not gonna re-anodise and lose what's left of the wording.
Cheers
Re:
Thanks for all your replies, been taking you advise on dating and have found the serial number
It starts NS5
Looking at a couple of sites it seems to match up as Nottingham January 1985, am I right?
I believe it to be 1985 and it's the pics of the 85 on google images that I am trying to replicate as this is how I remember it. It's a lovely bike to ride at the mo, but I want it to look as original as possible. I could go to the degrees of re-anodising the gold on the GT crank but then I...
